Announcement of Stamp Duty Tariff Adjustment

Dear Valued Customer,

In accordance to the Law No. 10 year 2020 regarding Stamp Duty, Directorate General of Taxation Regulations No. Per-01/PJ/2021 dated 8 January 2021 regarding the Procedure for Settlement of Stamp Duty Payable on Cheque and Bilyet Giro, and Directorate General of Taxation circular letter No. SE-01/PJ/2021 dated 8 January 2021, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch herewith informs:

1. There is a change in tariff amount of stamp duty from the previous value of IDR 3,000.00 (three thousand rupiah) and IDR 6,000.00 (six thousand rupiah) turn into the single tariff of IDR 10,000.00 (ten thousand rupiah)

2. All related documents as well as Bank’s documents that require stamp duty would be charged with stamp duty of IDR 10,000.00 (ten thousand rupiah) for every document, either using meterai tempel or with stamp duty machine including other types of stamp duty that are regulated under stamp duty regulations 

3. The old meterai tempel with values of IDR 3,000.00 (three thousand rupiah) and IDR 6,000.00 (six thousand rupiah) could still be used up to 31st December 2021. With a total value stamp duty combined of IDR 9,000.00 (nine thousand rupiah), as long as the official form of the new stamp duty has not yet published. For example:

▪ Customer could affix stamp duty with value of IDR 3,000.00 (three thousand rupiah) and IDR 6,000.00 (six thousand rupiah); or

▪ Customer could affix 3 (three) pieces of stamp duty with value of IDR 3,000.00 (three thousand rupiah); or

▪ Customer could affix 2 (two) pieces of stamp duty with value of IDR 6,000.00 (six thousand rupiah)

4. Documents that state a total value of more than IDR 5,000,000.00 (five million rupiah) shall be subjected to stamp duty valued of IDR 10,000.00 (ten thousand rupiah), valid for 1 (one) transaction or charged 1 (one) time for every document
