Notification of Taxpayer Identification Number for Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers, and Government Agency Taxpayers

Dear Customer,

Indonesian Government issues the Regulation of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. 112/PMK.03/2022 concerning of Taxpayer Identification Number for Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers, and Government Taxpayers (“PMK 112/2022”). Based on that PMK 112/2022, effective from the date 14th July 2022:

  1. Individual Taxpayers who are Residents shall use Citizenship Identification Number (“NIK”) as Indonesian Taxpayer Identification Number (“NPWP”).
  2. Non-Resident Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers, and Government Agency Taxpayers shall use new NPWP with a 16-digit format as NPWP.

However, the old NPWP with a 15-digit format still can be used for Your banking facilities until 31st December 2023, and effective of 1st January 2024, Individual Taxpayers who are Residents shall use NIK as NPWP, also non-Resident Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers, and Government Agency Taxpayers shall use new NPWP with a 16-digit format as NPWP.

In accordance with the mentioned provisions above, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch delivering the following things:

  1. that You shall process the conformation of NIK to NPWP following this guideline “Conformation of NIK-NPWP Tutorial” on the attachment on this letter until the data status is “Valid Data”. The conformation of NIK to NPWP is the responsibility of each Individual Taxpayers who are Residents.
  2. Non-Resident Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers, and Government Agency Taxpayers who already have an old NPWP with a 15-digit format are required to ensure that Taxpayers have obtained a new NPWP with a 16-digit format, namely adding the number 0 in front of the old NPWP with a 15-digit format. Specifically, for Taxpayers who have branch offices, Taxpayers must ensure that each branch office has obtained the Identification Number of the Location of Business Activity (“NITKU”) from the new NPWP with a 16-digit format.

To make sure You had convenient banking service and financial transaction, please do validate the conformation of NIK to NPWP, also download and keep Your NPWP electronic card that (i) already conformed with NIK or (ii) the new NPWP with a 16-digit format. Further, You are required to update Your data at nearest sub-branch office of the Bank no later than 31st December 2023.

The Bank informs that the Bank has no obligation, but the Bank has the right to verify the correctness of the NPWP data and information submitted by You to the Bank. If by 31st December 2023, You have not updated Your data at the Bank, then Bank has the right to take the necessary actions in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to PMK 112/2022.

ATTACHMENT 1 – Conformation of NIK-NPWP Tutorial

 

Below conformation of NIK-NPWP tutorial:

  1. Go to page www.pajak.go.id
  2. Choose “Login”
  3. Input 15-digit NPWP, password, and captcha on the field provided
  4. Click “Login”
  5. After succeeded, choose “profile” menu
  6. Input NIK as ID card number, check validity NIK, and click “change Profile”
  7. Do “Logout” from Profile Menu
  8. “Login” again using 16-digit NIK, input same password, and input captcha on the field provided.
  9. If Your NIK already filled on the profile menu with status Valid (green color), then Your NIK already updated and can be use on page www.pajak.go.id
