Announcement regarding Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch's UnionPay Debit Card Transaction's Deduction Flow
Dear Valued Customers,
Through this announcement Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch (“Bank”) would like to inform you the adjustment of transaction's deduction flow for transactions utilizing Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch UnionPay Debit Card as follow:

The transaction will fail, if CNY account is in dormant status |
When CNY account is in dormant status, but IDR account status is active and the balance is sufficient, then the transaction amount will automatically deduct from IDR account. This transaction will be carried out with changes in the currency exchange rate. |
Transaction in Indonesia and outside of Mainland China |
The transaction will fail, if IDR account is in dormant status. |
When IDR account is in dormant status, but CNY account status is active and the balance is sufficient, then the transaction amount will automatically deduct from CNY account. This transaction will be carried out with changes in the currency exchange rate. |
i.e:
Customer does a purchase transaction with value of CNY 1,000 in Mainland China. When the transaction took place, Customer's CNY account is in dormant status with balance as much as CNY 2,000, but the customer has IDR 5,000,000 in his/her IDR account. Following the new transaction deduction flow, Customer will be deducted as much as IDR 2,100,000 (estimated exchange rate CNY/IDR = 2,100) from his/her IDR account.
