AML/CTF/CPF, Fraud Prevention & Customer Protection

To protect customers and maintain a safe, transparent, and compliant financial environment, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch (“Bank”) continuously strengthens awareness related to Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Counter-Proliferation Financing (“AML/CTF/CPF”), as well as fraud prevention.

We kindly remind all customers and members of the general public to pay attention to the following:

  1. Please conduct financial transactions only through authorized banks and financial institutions that are licensed, supervised and regulated by relevant authority. Be cautious of private intermediaries, unauthorized payment collection services, or suspicious transactions to avoid potential financial losses and legal risks.
  2. Please properly safeguard your personal identification documents, bank cards, account passwords, One Time Password (“OTP”), and verification codes. Do not rent, lend, sell, or transfer your bank accounts or payment instruments to others, and do not assist any parties in conducting fund transfers or pass-through transactions on their behalf.
  3. Please do not easily trust suspicious messages, phone calls, emails, or social media communications requesting personal data, passwords, OTP, fund transfers, or directing you to click certain links or Quick Response (QR) codes. Always verify information through Bank Call Center (021-5209988) or visit Bank nearest sub-branch office.
  4. If an account is no longer needed, please close it promptly to reduce the risk of misuse, fraud, or illegal activities.
  5. If you discover suspicious or abnormal account activities, personal data leakage, fraud attempts, or unauthorized account opening, please immediately contact Bank Call Center (021-5209988) or visit Bank nearest sub-branch office and report the matter to the police or relevant authorities.
