About Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch (“BOCHK Jakarta”), formerly Bank of China Limited Jakarta Branch, has been operating commercially since 1938. On its business journey, it ceased operations in 1964, resumed in January 2003 and successively set up sub-branch offices. With the restructure of ASEAN institutions of Bank of China Group, BOCHK Jakarta has become part of the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited in 2017.

Currently, BOCHK Jakarta holds a license with full banking authority to operate as a branch in Indonesia, offering a wide range of commercial banking products and services. The Bank has unique advantage in providing trade and non-trade services between China and Indonesia.

About the Programme

Global Markets Young Talent Programme is an important staff development initiative in BOCHK Jakarta. We are determined to invest considerable resources on our trainees by providing learning and job rotation opportunities both locally and in Hong Kong. With our guidance and support, trainees are expected to grow and progress to managerial positions of Global Markets business in BOCHK Jakarta.

• Programme Structure

The 5-year programme composes of three stages.

Getting Start:

In the first 6 months of employment, you will be assigned to work in BOCHK Jakarta to understand the local banking industry and corporate culture, so as to build a solid foundation for future growth.

Overseas Exposure:

You will be offered a valuable opportunity to work in Hong Kong headquarters for 12-18 months. The challenging business environment can deepen your understanding of the mature financial markets and the business of headquarters.

Placement:

You will return to BOCHK Jakarta for the rest of the programme period for placement and on-the-job training.

• Mentoring

Throughout the 5-year programme, experienced business executives will be assigned as your mentors to provide guidance on your career and personal development.

• Career Path

Upon completion of the programme, you will become a key member in the Global Markets team, and subsequently have an opportunity to hold a managerial position.

• Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree holder with at least second upper honors or GPA 3.0 or above (4-point scale), or Master's degree or above educational qualification

- Less than 3 years of work experience

- Proficient in English, ability to communicate in Chinese will be an advantage

- Self-motivated, passionate, responsible and strong team spirit

- Excellent organizational competence, strong learning ability and communication skill, potential for growth
