Notification regarding Account Classification
Dear Valued Customer,
Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Jakarta Branch (“Bank”) hereby informs that in accordance with OJK Regulation Number 24 Year 2025 concerning Management of Accounts at Commercial Bank (“POJK 24/2025”), Bank will implement a new classification for Current and Savings Account effective on 10 May 2026. Refer to POJK 24/2025, accounts will be categorized as follows:
- Active Account, defined as an account that records activities including deposit, withdrawal, or balance inquiry;
- Inactive Account, defined as an account that has no record of activities deposit, withdrawal, or balance inquiry for more than 360 days;
- Dormant Account, defined as an account that has no record of activities deposit, withdrawal or balance inquiry for more than 1800 days.
In addition to the above classification, the Bank may also inform that Current and Savings Account shall be closed automatically if the account remains with zero (0) balance for a consecutive six (6) months period.
To help you avoid changes to your account status and/or potential account closure, kindly please maintain your account activity by performing one of the following simple actions below:
- Conducting deposit or withdrawal periodically;
- Conducting balance inquiry through Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, or ATM at least once within 360 days period.
